SV Consulting
was set-up in February 2003 by Steve Vale to provide a range
of business support services.
Steve Vale has
extensive technical and marketing experience in global high technology
industry. His early career was spent in software development for electron
microscopy working on a wide variety of applications concerned with
microanalysis, crystallography, automation and image analysis.
Working at Oxford
Instruments Microanalysis Group from 1989, he developed the software for the
PC based microanalysis system Link ISIS. In 1994 he designed and developed
for Oxford Instruments their first Electron Back Scattered Diffraction
system, Link Opal.
From 1995 Steve
worked in marketing roles at Oxford Instruments, moving to the Research
Instruments Division in 1997 where he headed up the marketing department as
Director of Marketing and Systems. In 1999 he was appointed Technical
Director of Oxford Instruments Medical. Under his leadership, the technical
group were responsible for the successful launch of new products for
electromyography, electroencephalography, obstetrics and cardiology.
Steve has a degree
in Natural Sciences (Physics) from Cambridge University, a DPhil in
Materials Science from Oxford University, an MBA from the Open Business
School and is a member of the Institute of Physics.
